Through education, and acts of service that support communities locally and globally we are able to make a difference.

We focus on 6 primary areas that are a call for action: Women’s Economic Empowerment, Education, Business, Sustainability, Social Inclusion, and Advocacy. We create impact through action to build skills and confidence, setting women up for success.
We align with the mission to empower 5 MILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS by 2030, meeting 5 SDG’s, The UN Sustainable Development has set 17 goals to transform our World by 2030. Goal#5 is to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls.
The Tech field is one of its main targets. Women IT Professional Academy (WITPA) fully supports the UN’s Sustainable development objectives by contributing to 5 of the 17 goals:

Efemena Akhabue is a strong believer in all things are possible, a mother of 4 an Enlightened Entrepreneur a Visionary, and an IT professional committed to creating, igniting, and driving sustainable change through education, innovation, and technology.
CEO of Women IT Professional Academy and founder of MomsLikeMe International a faith-based Non-Profit organization Efemena has led the movement for women to take action based on the leading empowering women to become who they are called to be and embrace IT Careers.
Efemena Aligns with the UN’s mission to empower 5 MILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS by 2030, meeting 5 SDGs. The UN Sustainable Development 17 goals to transform our World by 2030. Goal#5 is to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls.

Born in Nigeria to a Nigerian mother and Nigerian Father, Efemena experienced an exceptional upbringing that profoundly shaped her beliefs and values.
Efemena’s personal journey exemplifies the transformative power of technology. In 2012, she found herself struggling to achieve a healthy work-life balance, prompting her to make a bold decision. She left her high-powered job and embarked on a self-taught journey to learn Technology and become An IT project manager. The acquisition of these Tech skills not only transformed Efe’s personal life but also became the foundation for her entrepreneurial endeavors. Building on her newfound expertise, she created her first company and, in 2023 went on to establish Women IT Professional Academy a platform that would impact the lives of countless women and girls around the world.
Recognized as an expert in women empowerment, Efemena passionately shares her insights and experiences, inspiring audiences to challenge the status quo and embrace diversity in the tech world.
